Service

Service proposals (price, location, and other information) are valid only for the dates presented in the proposal. The description of each service on our website and in personalized proposals sent to clients is brief but as explicit as possible. However, the content and format of the services may undergo slight changes depending on the time of year and weather conditions. Any changes will be communicated upon confirmation of your reservation.

Private Groups

Customized proposals for private groups/companies require a prior quote.

Schedule

Activity durations are given as a guide only and are approximate, depending on factors beyond the control of the guides. A 15-minute grace period will be allowed for all participants to meet at the meeting point established for each program and activity. Times provided to participants are always approximate, and Gramol may change them within a two-hour margin for unforeseen circumstances.

Reservation/Payment

All activities and programs listed on the Gramol website are owned and marketed by Pedro Torres Laranjeira, Unipessoal, Lda and under the Gramol brand.

To register for any Gramol activity, you must make a reservation via the reservation form on our website - gramol.pt - or by email at clientes@gramol.pt. This means you are purchasing the requested service and agreeing to the General and Specific Conditions of the activity. You therefore undertake to pay for the full amount of services provided in the activity for which you made your reservation.

Your reservation becomes effective upon payment and receipt of a confirmation email.

If you wish to receive a receipt with your tax identification number (NIF), please request it when paying for the activity.

Failure to provide tax information for billing purposes at the time of purchase guarantees Gramol's right to bill you as an End Consumer. Participants will not be able to request an invoice with an associated tax identification number in the future.

All participants must provide identification, including their name and ID number, up to 24 hours before the activity begins to enable insurance coverage. Failure to comply with this deadline will invalidate participation, and no refunds will be given.

When registering/booking, the Customer assumes certain commitments towards Gramol

  • Having read and accepted these Terms and Conditions of participation, as well as the program of the activity in which the Client registers, which constitutes the specific conditions of participation in the activity.
  • That he/she is in adequate health conditions for the activity for which he/she is registered and accepts its nature, in particular the risks arising from the impossibility of immediate access to medical assistance.
  • You must always inform Gramol in advance if you have any chronic or other medical condition that prevents you from participating in this activity. If you have permission from your doctor to participate, you will need to provide us with a medical certificate.
  • That you are aware of the type of physical and psychological demands that the activity involves and that may lead to extreme and unforeseen situations.
  • Gramol's programs aim to travel to remote locations and provide experiences that offer lifestyles and conditions different from our daily lives. This can be an unusual experience, unfamiliar or uncomfortable. For this type of adventure travel, we must always be prepared to face new and somewhat unpredictable situations. Sometimes, even when everything is planned, things may not go as expected. When this happens, respect for others, understanding, good humor, patience, and thoughtfulness will always be in our favor and will help us overcome these situations and continue to enjoy our trip.
  • This type of adventure trip is only intended for people who already have some hiking experience and who are well prepared physically and mentally for the level of difficulty of the program they wish to enroll in.
  • Under no circumstances should you enroll in any Gramol program if you have any physical or other condition that could limit your performance, thus endangering your physical well-being or that of the group you are part of. A manifest lack of physical or mental preparation may, for reasons of individual and collective safety, prevent you from participating in a specific activity or all of the program activities.

Refunds and Cancellations/Changes/Cancellation

If we need to cancel an activity for reasons beyond our control (for example: extreme weather conditions that put the safety of participants at risk), we will notify you as soon as possible and will make every effort to offer you an alternative date that suits you or, in some cases, a full refund of the reservation amount may be provided, provided there are no commitments previously made with third parties.

Gramol reserves the right to cancel activities in the following cases:

  • The minimum number of participants required for each activity is not met;
  • Weather or other conditions make the activity impractical;
  • Safety requirements are not met;
  • The conditions set forth in the specific conditions are not met;

Many activities are dependent on weather conditions. If an activity is canceled due to weather conditions, a new reservation will be offered, but this is always subject to the weather conditions on the day.

In the event of cancellation of the reservation by the customer, you may receive a full refund of your payment under the following conditions:

  • In the case of activities lasting just one day, you will receive a full refund if you cancel up to 48 hours before the start of the activity and if Gramol, following the reservation made, has not already made commitments to other operators involved in the activity.
  • For activities lasting more than 1 day, cancellation must be made up to 72 hours before the start of the activity, otherwise you may incur payment of expenses already incurred, or total loss of the amount paid.
  • For all personalized activities for private groups/companies, cancellation must be made up to 5 working days before the start of the activity, otherwise you may incur payment of expenses already incurred or total loss of the amount paid.
  • Whenever the change or cancellation of the program occurs after its start and is due to external reasons beyond the organization's control, there will be no refund of amounts paid in the meantime or any other type of compensation.

  • If the participant is unable to attend, he/she may find someone to replace him/her, except in the situations described in the following points.

  • Not all activities allow for participant exchanges in the event of cancellation, particularly those involving the purchase of tickets with specific details or similar activities.

  • It is no longer possible to change the participant's name with the insurance company.

  • Refunds will be made using the payment method used, or another method agreed with the customer.

  • Os cancelamentos deverão ser efetuados através do email clientes@gramol.pt.

Transportation

Unless expressly stated otherwise, no type of transportation or transfer is included.

Safety Standards

Gramol's activities scrupulously comply with safety standards, reducing the risks associated with our activities. However, participants should bear in mind that due to the nature of the activities, risk cannot be completely reduced.

Participants in Gramol activities must agree to follow certain rules of conduct that respect their own safety, the safety of others (whether participating in the activities or not), and the environment. Gramol and its employees are not responsible for inappropriate behavior by participants during activities, but may, however, terminate an activity if safety conditions or minimum standards of conduct are in question.

It is the client's responsibility to ensure that they are in good health to participate in the respective activities. Certain activities require the participant to meet certain conditions, such as minimum age, health status, and other physical and psychological requirements.

Whenever possible, such restrictions will be indicated in the proposal sent to the client, and it is recommended that it be read carefully upon receipt.

Participation of Dogs in Walks

We recommend bringing water and a suitable container for your dog to drink from during the walk.

  • All animals must have an up-to-date vaccination record, including rabies, DHPPI + L4;
  • All dogs must have valid liability insurance;
  • They must always be on a leash and collar (DL-314/2003);
  • Dogs of potentially dangerous breeds must wear a functional muzzle and a leash no longer than 1.5 meters (DL-314/2003);
  • Female dogs in heat are not allowed on walks;

Accidents and Activation of Personal Accident Insurance

The insurance is valid for the period of time during which the activity/program for which the Client has signed up takes place. This period begins on the date and time specified in the program and ends on the day and time the Client abandons the activity/program, even if the Client leaves it early and permanently or resumes it later. Whenever the Client wishes to abandon the activity/program, they must notify the Guide.

Accidents that may trigger the Insurance are considered to be all those that occur as a result of the normal development of the activity described in the program in which the Client is participating or in any change introduced to it.

Accidents may not be eligible for insurance coverage in the following circumstances:

When the Client, on his/her own initiative, is carrying out any activity outside the scope and normal development of the activity described in the program or in the sequence of unnecessary risk behaviors for the activity in which the client is participating.

When the Client, on his own initiative and against the instructions of the Guide responsible for the activity on the ground, decides to make changes to the route or to the program described and in which the Client is participating.

When any safety rule previously established by the Guide responsible for the activity on the ground is consciously exceeded by the Client.

Any and all Accidents that may trigger the Insurance, immediately or up to the eighth day following, must be immediately reported to the Guide responsible for the field activity, who will take all necessary procedures.

We advise you to carefully read the Policy available below.
